Duke University Men’s Basketball Coach Mike Krzyzewski was on with Mike and Mike this morning and shared his thoughts on the two athletes who could be selected with the number one pick in the NBA Draft, one of which he coached.

Referring to Jabari Parker, who left Duke after his freshman year when he declared for the NBA Draft, Coach K said “he’s going to go one or two.”  Coach K continued, adding thoughts on Andrew Wiggins as well, who left Kansas University.  “There are two players in the draft that I think are above the others, and that’s Jabari and Wiggins.  They’re such good athletes.  Wiggins is probably the best athlete.  Jabari is an incredible athlete, a sneaky athlete.  I think Jabari is the better scorer in the draft.  He could be a franchise scorer.”

With his vast knowledge of basketball, anyone with input into making a top pick in the draft would need to weigh the advice of Coach K.  Personally, I have thought Parker was the best player in the draft, and the chance of him falling to the third pick for the Philadelphia 76ers would have been a steal.  The injury to Joel Embiid has all but assured that Parker and Wiggins will be selected with the top two picks, but in what order?  We shall all find out Thursday at the 2014 NBA Draft and CitySportsReport.com will be live on the scene.
