Daily Debate: Was the Rafael Soriano Signing by the Yankees Good?

In January 2011, against the wishes of General Manager Brian Cashman, the New York Yankees signed Rafael Soriano to a three-year, $35 milliion deal.  Over the three seasons, was this the right move to make?  Voice your opinion on the Razz and Jazz Sports Blog Daily Debate.

    It was a lot of money, but I think he’ll be a solid set up man, and the successor to Mariano Rivera as the closer.

    I had the misfortune (although the seats were amazing) of seeing the game at Yankee Stadium last night. Soriano was absolutely horrible. He was booed after only facing his second batter. When you get payed that much, Yankee fans obviously expect you to produce -bottom line.
