Fordham University freshman forward Eric Paschall will miss tonight’s game at Maryland it was announced today by head coach Tom Pecora.

During a physical on Tuesday, an irregularity was found with Paschall’s heartbeat. He underwent a battery of tests on Wednesday andThursday, all of which were normal, and he was cleared by the doctors on Thursday afternoon. He will resume practice with the team when they return on Friday.

Paschall was named the Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week, he scored a team-high 31 points in the Rams season opener last Friday night at home against NYIT.  Through two games played, Paschall is averaging 19.0 points per game.

The Rams will miss Paschall’s offensive support as they face a tough Maryland team tonight that’s been impressive on offense early in the season.  Hopefully this will not become a major issue for Paschall, this is something Fordham most likely will monitor very closely.

The Rams host UMass Lowell on Sunday at 6:00 p.m. in a game that will be televised live on SportsNet New York (SNY).
