Knicks Lose to Raptors 108-103 to Conclude 2010 Preaseason by Derrel “Jazz” Johnson

The New York Knicks finished the 2010 preseason with a 3-5 record after a loss to the Toronto Raptors Friday.  Amar’e Stoudemire led the Knicks again with 24 points in 26 minutes on 9-12 shooting.  Landry Fields started for the first time and finished with 12 points, while Raymond Felton also had 12 points to go along with 5 assists. Center Timofey Mozgov appears to be the opening day starter, and had a balanced game with 4 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, 2 steals, and 2 assists.  Bill Walker came off the bench to score 13, while Roger Mason added 10.

The Raptors had a well-balanced attack that saw 7 players score in double figures, lead by Andrea Bargnani with 15 points. Leandro Barbosa, Reggie Evans, and Linas Kleiza all scored 12 points for the Raptors, while Jose Calderon, DeMar DeRozan, and Sonny Weems scored 11 each as the Raptors also concluded their preseason.

The Knicks and the Raptors open the 2010-2011 National Basketball Association season against each other Wednesday evening in Toronto.
