Knicks Sit Stoudemire, Gallinari, and Chandler in 118-91 Loss to the Sixers by Derrel “Jazz” Johnson

The New York Knicks sat three starters to avoid back-to-back games and too many preseason minutes, and the rest of the Knicks held their own in the first half, but the Philadelphia Sixers went on a 21-3 run to open the third quarter to turn a 6-point halftime lead into a 24-point third quarter lead, a lead they held for the rest of the game.

The Knicks were led by Raymond Felton, who scored 16 points and played a lot of two guard in the game. Toney Douglas had 9 points and 9 assists. Anthony Randolph had his best game of the preseason, scoring 15 points, but shot only 3-9 from the field. Timofey Mozgov scored 12 points and pulled down 7 rebounds, and may be the opening day starter at the center position. Stanford University Rookie Landry Fields had 15 points off the bench to go along with 3 assists and 3 rebounds.

Andre Iguodala scored 20, pulled down 9 rebounds and dished out 4 assists, while Elton Brand and Jrue Holiday both had double-doubles, Brand with 16 points and 11 rebounds and Holiday adding 10 points and 11 assists. Jason Kapono also added 20 points, while Lou Williams and Thaddeus Young scored 18 and 14, respectively, off the bench.

The Knicks close out the preseason in Canada against the Toronto Raptors tonight.
