Moe Harkless to Leave St. John’s, Enter NBA Draft by Derrel “Jazz” Johnson

The St. John’s University Red Storm had a tough season this year, going 13-19, and 6–12 in the Big East Conference. The biggest bright spot of the season was freshman forward Moe Harkless, and he would be the foundation of the team next season. That will not be the case however, as Harkless announced his intentions to enter the NBA Draft today at a press conference at Madison Square Garden.

Harkless averaged 15.5 points and 8.6 rebounds, amongst the leaders in those categories nationally for freshmen. If Harless doesn’t hire an agent, he would still be eligible to return to St. John’s next season, but he is expected to hire one.
