New York Mets changes for SNY and WOR

by Lloyd Carroll

There will be changes on the New York Mets pre and postgame shows on both SNY television and WOR radio (710 AM).  Nelson Figueroa, who had a pair of pitching stints with the Mets, and was most recently doing television for MLB Network, replaces former Mets pitcher Bob Ojeda, who felt that SNY was low balling him when it came to a new contract. Well-known smug Mets fan and actor/comedian Jerry Seinfeld went on Twitter to announce his displeasure with Ojeda’s departure. My suggestion is to give Figueroa a chance. I have always found him to be insightful and likable as a player and I don’t think that he will become a shill in his new role.

Wayne Randazzo, who worked most recently in Chicago sports radio, will take over Seth Everett’s pre and postgame duties on WOR for Mets games.
