Zab Judah Makes Sure Family Is First

Brooklyn-born and bred Zab Judah is one of the most popular fighters of a generation who has fought everyone from Floyd “Money” Mayweather to Danny Garcia, Paulie Malignaggi,Amir Khan, and Miguel Cotto, to name a few.  It is very easy to see why so many are fans of Judah, because he hasn’t ducked anyone in his career.

Former five-time world champion boxer Zab Judah, who hails from Brooklyn, New York, discussed what fatherhood and Father’s Day mean to him.  “It means spending quality time with my children.  I enjoy my time with my children because, from time-to-time, I have to travel and have to spend time away from them, so when I spend my time with them it means a lot to me.  Each one of my children has their own personality and I respect their differences.”  I have seen Judah fight several times, and he can often be seen at pre- and post-fight press conferences with his children, brothers, and other family members.

I asked Judah what superpower he would choose as a father if he had the ability to select one, and he gave a great answer.   “As far as a super power, I would love to have a big button that has a “D” on it for Daddy, in which, my children can press at any time they need me. I will be there to rescue them or help them out whenever they need me.”  I don’t think there could be a better super power for a father than that.
